Patent application for the detection of gases

The patent application P.416703 entitled "The set-up and the method for the detection of gases  based on multiplexing and demultiplexing of optical signals  in laser spectroscopy" invented by Prof. Tadeusz Stacewicz, Paweł Magryta, Prof. Zbigniew Bielecki and Dr Jacek Wojtas has  been submitted to the Polish Patent Office on 31.03.2016.

Application summary: The invention consists of the method and of the set-up for the detection of gases with use  of laser spectroscopic multiplexing of two or of multiple optical signals  and demultiplexing  the resulting information. Multiplexing and demultiplexing of optical signals is achieved electronically. The set-up is characteristic by enabling the simplification of the optical system and by reducing the cross-talk in the detection channels as compared to the  solutions consisting solely of typical optical components (eg. dichroic filters). This solution may be applied for the set-ups based on classical optics as well as  on fiber optics. The application of fiber optic components makes possible the multiplexing and demultiplexing of multiple laser beams.
