Tunable, narrow-band optical filter
The patent application for a "Tunable, narrow-band optical filter for filtering laser beams and a method for filtering laser beams" was submitted to the Polish Patenting Office on 29 April 2014. The invention is authored by Dr. Wojciech Wasilewski and Radosław Chrapkiewicz.
The invention includes a narrow-band optical filter for filtering laser beams, which contains a heated hermetic filter chamber (1) with an absorbent inside, and specifically with a filter chamber (1) having at least two parallel optical windows, moreover the filter chamber (1) is located in between the sources of magnetic field (10) positioned and configured in such a way that the filter chamber (1) is located in the magnetic field generated by these sources (10), and the direction of the magnetic field is vertical with respect to the filter axis.
The invention also includes the method for filtering laser beams, which is specific by including the stage of passing of the laser beam through the filter chamber (1) that contains an absorbent in the vertical magnetic field.
